Enhancement and development activities of quality systems Administration:
A significant change occurred in Faculty’s overall performance as a result of benefiting from the results of self-evaluation. This change was noted in the following (for example, but not limited):
- Re-drafting the vision and mission of the Faculty with the participation of relevant parties from inside and outside the Faculty, approving it by the Faculty council, and publishing it by various means.
- Preparing a strategic plan for the Faculty and follow up its implementation plan.
- Development of the organizational structure and updating units, offices and administrations to achieve the mission and objectives of the Faculty.
- Developing a training plan based on actual needs.
- Preparing and publishing the University Ethics Charter.
- Formulating and accrediting criteria for selecting administrative leaders.
- Formulating and accrediting criteria for selecting directors and deputy directors of units.
- Developing the performance of the administrative apparatus through training courses and setting standards for measuring performance and measuring job satisfaction.
- Having an accredited and active plan for community service, environment development, and increasing community participation for students and Academic staff in the Faculty to serve the community.
- Courses to prepare students and graduates for labor market.
- Activating student counseling hours and informing students about it, in addition to agreeing to match student counseling hours with the appropriate dates for students’ lectures, as well as the time of the academic advisor, with the need to alert professors to announce these dates to students and Student’s signature with knowledge, which is carried out by the Academic Advising Unit at the Faculty.
- Preparing specifications and reports of Bachelor stage courses at Faculty and conducting an external review of programs and courses.
- Developing and improving the courses for the bachelor’s and postgraduate stages based on review reports by examiners and external auditors.
- Significant improvement in the teaching methods and examination methods inside the faculty by using modern multiple methods of teaching (self-learning – using the information network).
- Providing linguistics laboratories in the faculty.
- The presence of a representative from the quality Administration team in the Faculty’s dedicated councils.
- Equipping classrooms with electronic display devices and audio units.
- Providing computer labs for students to improve teaching and learning opportunities.
- Modernizing, provisioning and continuous development of the library electronically to serve Academic staff, their assistants, and students.
- Preparing a research plan for the faculty.
- Completing the standards, preparing specification and determination for postgraduate courses at the faculty, and conducting an external review of programs and courses.
- Inculcating the concepts of quality for most Academic staff, their assistants, administrators, students and graduates of the faculty.
- Developing a system by Quality Assurance Unit for internal review.
The department councils and Faculty council accredit annually the programs and courses specifications for the bachelor and graduate studies, course coordinators, unit and courses codes coordinators, and development procedures based on improvement plans for scientific departments, and plans to improve programs and courses for the bachelor and postgraduate stages.
- Accrediting the courses development committee meetings.
- Accrediting the courses files, reports of programs and courses, and self-study, as well as criteria of mechanisms for selecting external auditors and resolutions of the Scientific Research Ethics Committee.
- Amending the Faculty internal regulation by updating field training for students of all batches within the regulation, provided that it is a pass and fail subject, provided that it does not affect the cumulative total grade and according to the manner mentioned in the presented memorandum with taking the matter to the Supreme Council of Universities.
- Discussing the evaluation results with the faculty leaders in the department councils and the faculty council.
- There are actual practices for improvement and development in the educational process through plans to improve the scientific departments and scientific conferences of the faculty.
- Activating the regulations for accountancy to improve educational effectiveness, and this is evident from the decisions that have been taken regarding some students, Academic staff, and their assistants.
