Rheumatology and Physiotherapy department in faculty of medicine _ Aswan University_ in cooperation with the European authority for the use of ultrasound in Diagnosis of rheumatic diseases, international workshop on the use of Joints Sonar and locomotor system, this workshop will be held in conjunction with the International Day of Rheumatology and Natural Medicine.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab _Aswan University president_ opened the workshop, in attendance of Dr. Mohamed zaki Al-Dahshoury _ acting faculty of medicine dean, Dr.Ahmed fathi _Coordinator of the conference, Dr/ Abdel-rahman El-Dahan _Vice dean of faculty of medicine for society service and environment development.  

Prof. Ghallab declared that this workshop will be held for two days in participation with three specialized foreign trainers in sound waves field from Greece and Serbia and this workshop is held for the first time in Egypt by this European authority which is specialized in this field.

He added that Aswan University is keen to hold workshops and scientific conferences periodically in order to exchange experiences and learn about the new in all medical fields, which will benefit patients.

Dr. Fatima Hussein Al-Nubi_ head of the workshop and head of Rheumatology and Physical Therapy Department in Faculty of Medicine at Aswan_ added that the number of participants in the workshop is 30 doctors from different Egyptian universities and from one of Saudi Arabia universities. The workshop include (wrest joints – elbow – shoulder – pelvis – ankle – knee) and how to deal with diseases and injuries of them.

She indicated that the workshop shed light on the importance of the use of sound waves sonar in the diagnosis of early joint disease and determine the proper treatment before the deterioration of the health situation of patients for their speed recovery.
