The number of university hospitals reaches to (113) hospitals at republic level, and includes 35 thousand beds to serve 21 million annually.
Here comes an important question, what do university hospitals do annually?
- 3 million emergencies are received.
- 5 million Surgeries are performed.
- 70,000 cancer patients are treated.
- 60 thousand heart operations.
- 30 thousand eye surgery.
- 11,000 neurosurgery
- 7,000 orthopedics.
- 1000 cochlear implants.
- 500 liver and kidney transplants.
And with all this medical services provided by the state to treat citizens, university hospitals need everyone to work together and help them to continue providing their services to citizens, to improve the service provided to them, and to buy new medical equipments and supplies, in addition to that increasing the absorptive capacity of these hospitals.
