The Department of Islamic Sharia at Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom, Aswan University, is one of the well-established scientific pillars of the faculty. It is dedicated to teaching Islamic sciences from their original sources: The Holy Quran, the Prophetic Sunnah, consensus (Ijma’), analogical reasoning (Qiyas), and other sources of Islamic legislation. The department aims to produce students capable of a deep understanding of Islamic texts, deriving rulings, and addressing contemporary societal issues from an authentic Islamic perspective, while adhering to the principles of sound methodological understanding.
