The following items may not be borrowed outside the library:
1-Encyclopedias, dictionaries, maps, atlases, specialized references and dictionaries.
2- Arab and foreign periodicals.
3- University theses (Master’s theses – PhD theses).
4- Rare books that are not available in publishing houses and are difficult to obtain.
5- Books with a single copy and the last copy held in the library.
6-Non-paper information containers (tapes – scientific slides – microfilms – microfiches – laserdiscs).
Number of books to be borrowed:
-External borrowing for the following categories may not exceed the limits established for each category:

The borrowing is for one week, which may be extended. In case of delay the borrower is warned, and in case of repeated violation, a memorandum is submitted to vice dean of Graduate Studies for consideration.
In case of the book being lost by the borrower, the following procedures should be followed:
-The person responsible is obligated to purchase the book and hand it over to the library, provided that it is the same edition or the latest version and not a previous edition of the lost copy.
-In case of that the book is not available in the publishing houses, the price of the book is collected at a double price from the person responsible, in addition to 20% administrative expenses for the services fund.
If part of a set of parts is lost, the person responsible is obligated to purchase the missing part, provided that it is the same edition. In case of the part is not available, a complete set of the recent edition is purchased, or the price of the entire set is collected at a double price in addition to 20% administrative expenses for the Services Fund.
The term “lost” is indicated in front of the lost book’s data in the registration records, and the payment voucher number and date are recorded, and it is removed from the library’s custody.
