In case of that the supervisor travels abroad, the concerned department shall take one of the following measures:
A) Maintaining supervision if the expected period for the student to finish and discuss it does not exceed six months.
B) Adding a new member to the original supervisor if the period is more than six months and less than one academic year.
C) Transferring supervision to another member if the student is in the first year of preparing the thesis or the supervisor travels for more than one academic year.
In each case, the supervisor must submit a report to the relevant department before allowing him to travel, indicating the student’s condition and the stages he has passed.
- At the end of each university year, the thesis supervisor submits a report to the relevant department council showing the student’s progress in his research. The report is presented to the Graduate Studies Committee and the Faculty Council. The supervisor may recommend in his report that the student continue to be enrolled or cancel his enrollment.
