The Supreme Council of Culture announces the opening of applications for the 2026 State Incentive Awards in Arts, Literature, Social Sciences, Economics, and Law. Applications will be accepted from October 1st to December 31st, 2025. Applicants must meet the following requirements:
– Be a citizen of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
– Submit four copies of their work (submitted works will not be returned), a printed CV (no more than two pages), a copy of their national ID card, and a recent photograph. A bank statement confirming the applicant’s bank account number is also required. All submitted materials must be uploaded to a CD.
– Those who have previously received a State Incentive Award in any category are not eligible to apply.
– Applicants must be under 40 years of age on October 1st of the year the award is announced. – If the submitted work is in one of the branches of art, the applicant must provide an official statement from the exhibiting or executing entity confirming the date of the production’s first exhibition or performance, along with detailed information about the work. The submission of the work itself will be postponed until requested by the relevant committee.
– The work must have been previously published, exhibited, or performed, and no more than three years should have passed since its first publication or performance up to the date of this announcement. Published books must include a deposit number. For artistic and architectural works, an official statement from the exhibiting or executing entity must be submitted, specifying the date of the first publication, performance, or exhibition.
– The work must not have been previously submitted for a State Award, unless it includes new additions deemed valuable by the committee.
– The work must not have been previously submitted as a thesis for an academic degree or other award. The applicant must sign a declaration to this effect with their application. – For academic research, a plagiarism report must be submitted, certified by the Supreme Council of Universities or a public university, confirming that the work has undergone plagiarism detection using the Supreme Council of Universities’ approved plagiarism detection program.
– If the applicant authorizes another person to submit the work, this authorization must be notarized by the relevant authority.
– For joint research, a statement of participation percentages signed by the participants must be submitted.
– Applicants submitting joint research must provide proof of the other participants’ consent to their individual submission for the award.
– Submit the work to the Supreme Council of Culture (General Administration of Awards and Competitions), 1 Al-Gabalaya Street, Opera, Al-Gezira, Cairo.
