Aswan University president Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab met with a delegation from Excellence Center of USAID to explore avenues of scientific collaboration between the two sides during the coming period. In attendance of Dr/ Yasser El-Shaieb _ Project manager in the American University, Dr/ Essam Mohamed _ Project scientific coordinator, Prof/ Ayman Othman_ Vice president of Aswan University for Graduate studies and research in Aswan University, Prof/ Hazem El-Gamal_ International relationship in university, Dr. Hani Madkour _ project Coordinator at Aswan University.

Prof/ Ghallab pointed out that the potential of Aswan University in water science field and its previous experiences in this field and the activities which will be implemented in the university in cooperation with Excellence project of Water.

The visitation of the delegation will last three days and include many meetings with the deans of Faculties of Agriculture, Science, Engineering and fisheries technology Academic staff specialized in water field in addition to holding meeting with industries leaders that are relevant to water field in Faculty of Engineering.

The Excellence Center is funded by USAID through alliance from the American Universities (Washington – California (Santa Cruz) – Utah – Temple) and Egyptian universities (Ain Shams – Alexandria – Aswan – Beni Suef – Zagazig)
