Second Edition of the “Creative Hopes with an Academic Vision” Exhibition

Under patronage of Prof. Loai Saad El-Deen Nasrat, President of the University, and the supervision of Prof. Iman Mohamed Wagdy, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, and based on the Faculty’s vision to equip students with the skills and requirements of the job market, second-year students from the Department of Art Education participated in the second edition of the “Creative Hopes with an Academic Vision” exhibition, held at the Faculty of Commerce. The students’ participation included a diverse collection of artworks, including paintings and innovative handicrafts.

During his inspection of the students’ work, Prof. Nasrat praised the distinguished artworks through which the students expressed the visual identity of Aswan University. He emphasized that these creative works reflect an important aspect of revealing the abundant talent within Aswan University.

The University President also affirmed his support for developing students’ practical, scientific, and creative skills by providing a genuine platform to showcase their ideas and products in an environment that mirrors the demands of the job market. He stressed that such exhibitions represent a true link between academic study and the requirements of the job market. Prof. Iman Wagdy noted that the works presented by the college’s students in the exhibition ranged from paintings to handicrafts, representing an artistic project and a learning outcome for the Small Projects course. She emphasized that this participation stems from the state’s and the Ministry of Higher Education’s directives to link theoretical research with industry to meet the demands of the labor market.

She added that this exhibition resulted in the Faculty of Commerce adopting a specialized digital platform to showcase and market students’ artwork and to hold a tourism-themed exhibition, following the university president’s approval.

She also confirmed that the Faculty of Commerce, leveraging its expertise in the business sector, will open marketing channels for these projects in all bazaars, museums, and tourist venues in Aswan to connect students with the job market.
