Holding Aswan university council and the governor praises university achievements

Today, Aswan University council No.99 headed by Prof/Ahmed Ghallab _University president _and in attendance of Maj.gen/ Ashraf Attia _Aswan Governor, Prof/ Ayman Othman _vice president for graduate studies and research, Prof/ Magdi Mohamed Ali _ Vice president for community service and environment development, faculties deans and university advisors.

Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab opened the session by welcoming Maj.gen/ Ashraf Attia _ Aswan Governor and council members.

Maj.gen/ Ashraf Attia assured the importance of the role of University as it the center of expertise and extend of cooperation in all developmental fields between university and governorate.

Maj.gen/ Ashraf Attia _Aswan governorate _ expressed his happiness with what the university has achieved in terms of infrastructure and constructions that are taking place in full swing under the leadership of Prof. Ahmed Ghallab _university president_ especially university theater which the university council has been held at it, the extent of the fruitful cooperation between Aswan University and Aswan Governorate, both in construction, in digital transformation system and in various common areas, and he referred to what the university has achieved in terms of global rankings which considers an addition to the entire governorate, and this prestigious university is a pride of the governorate.

Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab _Aswan University president _added that the Council discussed many important topics, including the importance of students’ participation in student activities in light of the outbreak of Corona virus with taking all precautionary measures to confront Corona virus according to university plan that has been implemented since the beginning of the academic year 2020/2021.

university president mentioned the role of unlimited support of Aswan governor for the university and that the council was held today in the university theater hall, which is a new addition to the university’s facilities, and artistic and musical activities for university students will be held on it, as the theater’s area is 600 square meters and includes 400 chairs for attendees.

The council concluded its works by awarding some academic degrees of PhDs and Masters to a number of Academic staff and their assistants at the university.

Aswan University president casts a vote in parliament elections 2020

Today Aswan University president Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed _Aswan University president _ casts a vote in parliament elections 2020 at his electrical committee at Young women’s Muslim school in Aswan governorate.

Prof/ Ghallab said that the house of representatives elections complete the democratic process by completing the senate and House of Representatives which the state supports the path toward inclusive development in different fields and working on boosting production to support state foundations under the leadership of Republic President/ Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi.

Aswan University president calls on all citizens in Aswan to participate in elections to casts their votes and choose who represents them with complete transparency and neutrality in the second day of the first phase of parliament elections 2020.

 

Aswan University President: implementing University’s plan for hybrid education, and No complacency with negligent

Today, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ Aswan university president_ held a meeting to emphasize implementing university’s plan for hybrid education for the Academic year 2021/2020, in attendance of Prof. Ayman Othman_ Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Magdy Mohamed Ali_ Vice President for Community Service and Environment Development, faculties deans And vice deans for education and students affairs.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab emphasized applying the hybrid education system and e-learning, and taking full advantage from the experience in different faculties.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ Aswan university president_ stressed the importance of follow-up by faculties deans on the regularity of study and implementing the plan set by the university and according to the directives of Ministry of Higher Education and Supreme Council of Universities, through full adherence to study schedules and communication between students and Academic staff online in coordination with faculties deans and working on Training Academic staff on e-learning through the electronic platforms established by the university that allow 10,000 students to enter the electronic platform at one time, and working on obliging Academic staff to carry out their duties towards students, especially the theoretical faculties that study online.

Prof. Ayman Othman_ Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, added on the importance of implementing the study plan and emphasizing positive interaction with students by setting a clear vision from each faculty and working to implement it throughout the year.

Aswan University starts the new academic year 2020/2021 with a marathon of student activities

Aswan University president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ participated with students in the sports day that the marathon begins from the unfinished obelisk on the airport road to the campus in Sahari in which 150 male students and 100 female students participated, with the participation of Academic staff, university president and faculty of physical Education dean. At the end of the marathon, prizes were distributed to the winners and the first place trophy. Students also participated in the kayak competition in the rowing club, in attendance of students of Faculty of Physical Education.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that the university has taken all precautionary measures to confront Corona virus, and working on implementing the plan set by the university within all sectors and various departments at the university throughout the year.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that the university is working to continue implementing the strategic plan in preserving the health of all Academic staff, employees and students.

And that is by sterilizing all educational and administrative facilities of the university in Sahari that include classrooms, amphitheatres, means of transportation, administrative offices, laboratories and others while keeping social distancing, as well as all precautionary measures have been taken in Aswan Al-Gageda, which includes 6 faculties which are ( Arts, Medicine, Archaeology, Science, Law and Commerce) and in the near future will include faculty of Tourism and Hotels and faculty of Dentistry. The university is working to implement the e-learning and hybrid system and working to extend the hours of study day to 6:00 pm in order to reduce the density of students and determining two days for each year of the theoretical faculties, taking into account applying all precautionary measures in all campuses of University, in keeping the safety of students and in applying the directives and precautionary measures of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Supreme Council of Universities.

The university president pointed out that university hostels were prepared in the previous period to receive students, and many maintenance and restoration works were implemented for university hostels buildings and Regular maintenance of the buildings, whereas a permanent integrated medical clinic was established in Sahari from the previous year and work to develop it continuously, and supply it with medicine and Medical supplies in cooperation with University’s medical administration.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab pointed out that the university today received 25 thousand students from University’s faculties, which are 19 faculties and institutes.

Aswan University: Applying the hybrid education system at the beginning of the new academic year

Aswan University president Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed, declared that in frame of university’s preparations for the new academic year that the study is scheduled to start on 10/17/2020, the university has developed a strategic plan for the hybrid education system at Aswan University.

University President Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab added that the plan aims to implement the decisions and recommendations of Ministry of Higher Education and Supreme Council of Universities by activating the hybrid education system with as efficiently as possible by working on a unified platform for the university to ensure that students and Academic staff are not dispersed and to provide technical support with ease of follow-up and evaluation. And work to reduce student density inside the campus headquarters in order to ensure the health and safety of students, academic staff , their assistants and workers in different sectors, and working on achieving the major benefit from the university’s technological infrastructure to serve the educational system optimally and working on mitigate economic burdens for students and parents Through distance learning, the plan aims to implement the state’s policy in digital transformation to stabilize the smart university by developing the university’s technological system.

Aswan University and Ministry of Social Solidarity sign a cooperation protocol to serve students

Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ Aswan University President _ declared that Dr/ Nevin Al-Gabag _ Minister of National Solidarity _ and Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed _Aswan University president_ signed a cooperation protocol for opening social solidarity center inside university for presenting services for students.

Prof/ Ghallab added that the cooperation protocol aims to establish social solidarity unit at Aswan University and that for presenting group of social services for students whether directly or indirectly and presenting program and services of rehabilitation, awareness, educational, economic and therapeutic for all students.

Prof/ Ghallab praised the great role of the Ministry of Social Solidarity that contributes with the university in serving and caring for students in different groups of society and the fruitful and constructive cooperative work.

Prof. Kamal Abo Al-Majd wins the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology award

Aswan University, headed by Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ University President, Vice-Presidents, Faculties Deans, Academic Staff and their assistants, and all university employees, congratulate Prof/ Kamal Abo Al-Majd_ Professor at Faculty of Sciences of Aswan University on occasion of winning the first Award presented by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in a Scientific photo contest in the field of advanced technological sciences

Aswan University’s preparations for the new academic year 2020-2021

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ Aswan University President_ declared that the university administration has taken all precautionary and preventive measures to confront corona virus, confirming on implementing the plan set by the university within all sectors and various departments at the university, which coincides with the state’s continued response to confront the spread of Coronavirus, in order to keep our students safe and healthy with the start of the new academic year 2020/2021, scheduled October 17th.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that the university is working to continue implementing the strategic plan in preserving all Aswan University academic staff, employees and students.
And that is by sterilizing all educational and administrative facilities on campus in Sahari as Lectures halls, amphitheatres, means of transportation, administrative offices, laboratories and others with keeping social distancing, also all precautionary measures have been taken at University campus in Aswan Al-Gadeda which includes 6 faculties which are faculties of (Arts- Medicine – Archaeology – Dar Al-Uloom – Law – Commerce) and at the near future will include Faculty of Tourism and Hotels and faculty of Dentistry, and the university is working on implementing e-learning and hybrid system to reduce students density in attendance and specifying two days for each year of theoretical faculties, taking into account applying all precautionary and preventive measures in the six campuses of the university in various regions of Aswan Governorate, and that for the safety of Students, applying to directives the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Supreme Council of Universities.

University president indicated that many maintenance and repair works were carried out for university hostels buildings

And working on restart and install a Wi-Fi network in all buildings of university hostel, directly from
University hostel administration with a specialized company
With the connection of a Fiber line (internet) from the university administration to the hostel building in Sahari and University hostels administration.

And establishing internet halls in every building to help students to study and communicate with the educational electronic platforms.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab indicated that a number of air conditioners have been installed in study halls of the buildings and working on completing the rest of the buildings
And the completion renovation of a residential building in Sahari and that for hosing superior female students, taking into account applying all precautionary measures, including temperature measurement for students, wearing masks, and periodic examination by the medical administration in university hostels, as part of university’s plan to confront corona virus.

Aswan University president congratulates the political leadership and Egyptian people on anniversary of 6th of October victories

Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed _Aswan University president _congratulates president /Abdel-fattah El-Sisi_ Republic president_ and our Armed Forces on the 47th anniversary of 6th October victory.

Prof/ Ghallab added that all university leaderships, students, employees congratulate all Egyptians on this precious memory which its impact is still in the souls.

The university appreciated the role of Armed forces in war and peace; it also valued the mission of our armed forces in supporting the national projects that works on boosting production and sustainable development.

Prof/ Ghallab indicated that October victories achieved many important gains and results for Egypt at the political, diplomatic and military levels and it was a turning point in the history of international relations and that demonstrates the spirit of defiance of Egyptian people that refuses defeat and breakdown and does not satisfy with substitute of the victory despite the conspiracies against the homeland.

Aswan University participates in a workshop for preparing teachers for refugees and immigrants

Aswan University president _ Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed declared that in frame of Aswan University’s participation in a workshop in Zagazig university from 2 to 5 October 2020 for reviewing the professional diploma courses for teachers of refugees and immigrants and others, in participation with (Universities of Heliopolis , Zagazig, Al-Azhar and October 6).

Prof/ Ghallab added that Aswan University’s participation comes within the requirements of the European Union Project “Refugee Education certificate program for Egyptian teachers through hybrid (integrated) learning and that in participation with( Greece, Cyprus and the united kingdom).

Prof/ Ghallab indicated that Aswan University is represented by Prof. Nadi Kamal Aziz Gerges, Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Center at Aswan University, Prof. Ahmed Mohamed Al-Otaifi and Dr. Adel Abdel-Fahim in Faculty of Science, and Dr. Abdel-Nasser Fayez and Dr. Yasmin El-Sayed Kamel in Faculty of Education .

Prof. Nadi Kamal Aziz indicated that this workshop aims to review the courses in Arabic to be tested on a group of teachers in mixed classes from Egyptians, refugees and immigrants, or community schools classes only for refugees and immigrants, as advances step to be approved by those universities and the Educational Studies Sector Committee of the Supreme Council of Universities.
