Aswan University participates with Minister of Higher Education, American University in Cairo and United States Agency for International Development, in opening the first virtual forum

Today, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar launched the first virtual forum for employment for universities UCCD 2020. Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Aswan University President_ participated in the opening in attendance of the President of American University in Cairo, Francis Richardoni, American University Adviser Dr. Ashraf Hatem, and Director of the United States Agency for International Development_ Leslie Reed, and the presidents of 10 Egyptian governmental universities.

The National Bank of Egypt also participated as a major partner with more than 40 companies in providing job and training opportunities at the event hosted by the University Centers for Career Development. The University Centers for Career Development is hosting the forum, which is a project funded by the United States Agency for International Development and implemented by the American University in Cairo at 10 universities: Alexandria, Ain Shams, Aswan, Beni Suef, Mansoura, Menoufia, Minya, Sadat, Sohag and Zagazig.

The Virtual Employment Forum of Career Development Centers in universities 2020 is a virtual online event through it  business owners meet with university students in a virtual environment and use chat rooms, teleconferencing, webcasts, webinars and / or Email to share information about available jobs. Job seekers, final years students, and recent graduates upload their CVs, browse company pavilions, communicate directly with company representatives, presenting advertising materials for companies, and attend webinars.

Aswan University Announces the Digital Transformation Program

 In light of Aswan university’s fight against COVID-19 and keenness on the students’ well-being, Aswan university headed by its president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed via the general administration of education and student’s affairs in cooperation with Information and Communication Center announces opening the door for the higher batches students who want to transfer, re-enroll, or apply for general external study as well as the dropped outs and the students who didn’t apply for the previous year coordination to register in digital transformation program for joining one of the university faculties 2020-2021 from 20th August to 20th Sept. 2020 via the following website

Under the auspicious of Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab, Aswan university center of professional development in cooperation with GTTDUN and Google companies provide a training grant on the Mechanisms of Digital Marketing and the How to Construct a Website via Google digital platform on 16th– 17th August 2020. Aswan University president Casts his Ballot in Senate Elections

Today corresponding to 11th August 2020 Aswan university president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab casted his ballot in Senate election in his polling station in Al Shabat Al Mouslemat school, Aswan governorate.

 In the same context, Prof. Ahmed Ghallab said that Senate Elections is one of the main pillars in the New State’s comprehensive development in the different fields and advancing production under the leadership of his excellency the president Abd Al Fattah Al Sisi. He urged Aswan people to go and cast their ballots. Prof. Ghallab was accompanied by the dean and the vice dean of the faculty of science Prof. Atef Ibrahim and Prof. Mohamed Raslan respectively.   

Aswan University President: Applying precautionary measures to high school students to perform aptitude tests for their own safety

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ Aswan University President_ declared that the university prepared to receive high school students to perform aptitude tests today 8th August to 20th August 2020 and that through the arrival of students to Faculty of Specific Education and faculty of Physical Education.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that precautionary measures have been implemented and taking the utmost degree of protection measures to prevent the spread of Corona virus among students. 

And working on implementing all kinds of aptitude test for student in one day to avoid heading to the university more than once and that to reduce the burden on students and prevent overcrowding and facilitate for the students of regions and those of long distances, stressing the necessity of providing all support and care for students during their tests performance, with the attendance of Academic staff and specialized employees in each faculty to answer students’ inquiries and provide them with the required facilities, with the necessity for all attendees to wear medical masks, keeping distances, and providing disinfectants and sterilization tools to disinfect places and devices during exams period, in addition to provide students with internal transportation and all amenities when they go to faculties’ headquarters.

 

The guesthouse is back to university hostels at Aswan university

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_Aswan university President_ declared that today, the last infected group with Corona virus from medical staff left the guest house after recovering from corona virus and returning to work, the total number of cases is 77 positive cases who were isolated in the guesthouse from 8/6 /2020 to 27/7/2020.

Prof/ Ghallab added that after the exit of last infected group, the guesthouse will be sterilized and will be back to university hostels.

University center for career development at Aswan University communicates with business owners

University Center for Career Development at Aswan University held a panel discussion entitled “Round-Table” on “appointment of new graduates with higher qualifications – current practices and trends” and that in attendance of Aswan University president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab said that the panel discussion was held online by using (Zoom) program, with taking all precautionary measures for the Safety of university employees and in frame of confronting Corona virus.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that the panel discussion aims at knowing the business owners’ views and knowing how they can provide suitable job opportunities for new graduates in the governorate and in different industrial and innovative sectors, and working on developing mechanisms to provide employment opportunities for new graduates.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab referred to the importance of presenting and knowing graduates’ proposals for providing more job opportunities and open non-traditional opportunities in labor market that helping on innovation.

A number of major factories and companies owners in Aswan attended the panel discussion and that in cooperation with the International Labor Organization.

 

Aswan University hospitals end waiting lists implementing to the presidential initiative

In frame of state’s directives to end waiting lists according to the directives of President/ Abdel- Fattah El-Sisi _ President of the Republic_ and within the health initiatives launched by the state in the interest of citizens’ health.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed – Aswan University President – announced that in frame of directives of Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research headed by Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar to end waiting lists at university hospitals in all medical specialties. Prof. Ahmed Ghallab added that Aswan university hospitals are implementing the presidential initiative and working to ends waiting lists, in order to ease the burden of Aswan citizens, taking into account the social dimension in providing treatment to all patients and ending waiting lists in all specialties.                                                                                    

Dr. Mohamed Zaki Al-Dahshoury_  Faculty of Medicine Dean and Chairman of Board of Directors of Aswan University Hospitals, indicated that we are working on ending all waiting lists at university Hospital, which started with ending waiting lists for patients with cardiac catheterization, in attendance of Dr. Ashraf Mebed_Executive director of Aswan University Hospitals, and Dr. Ramadan Ghaleb_head of cardiovascular department at the hospital With the help of Dr. Saudi Mohamed Al-Soghayer and Dr. Najeh Mohamed Mahmoud, the departments medicines performed a diagnostic and therapeutic catheter to a number of cases with high accuracy and success.

Aswan University president approved establishment of an Electronic testing unit

Today, Aswan University council No.96 was held via video conference, headed by Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed_ Aswan University President, in attendance of Prof. Ayman Othman_ Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and faculty Deans.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab started with welcoming the attendees and congratulating President. Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi_ President of the Republic on occasion of the 68th Anniversary of 23th July Revolution, and on the occasion of the blessed Eid Al-Adha, and also congratulated the Council of Ministers, and Dr. Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar_Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.                                                                           

Aswan University Council also mourned the death of Lieutenant-General Mohamed Al-Assar_ Minister of State for Military Production_ and the Council mourned the death of Ahmed Al-Zayyat_Journalists’ representative at Sub-Press Syndicate in Aswan and Director of Al-Wafd newspaper office in Aswan.

The Council discussed follow-up works of second semester exams, which are performed by 7,000 students in university’s final classes.

The Council also approved the graduate studies regulation of Faculty of Archeology for the academic year 2021/2020.                                                         

Aswan University Council approved establishment of E-testing unit for University’s Information Center and Communication Network, which approved by the Supreme Council of Universities.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab emphasized the importance of following the precautionary procedures and adhering to them in all admission tests for Practical faculties students with the beginning of the new Academic year such as Faculties of Physical Education and Specific Education and through the training courses which take place at the university and working on the quick of marking and following to show the result on time in order to ensure Our students future.

The Council also granted number of degrees of PHD and masters.
