A delegation from Faculty of Dar Al Uloom visited the Institute of Oncology in Aswan on Tuesday of this week, 31/10/2019, consisting of Dr. Mohammed Abu Al-Sheikh, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Abu Al-Magd, faculty Secretary and a number of employees and students with the participation of faculty administration, officials and students in the clinic of patients wishing full recovery for all patients.

The delegation received by the officials of the Institute with a detailed presentation of the sections and developments that took place in the institute and all the specialities in it, a detailed explanation of what has had a positive impact on the attendees and the delegation visit a number of patients accompanied by officials and introduce them to the departments during the visit.

Faculty administration of Dar Al Uloom thanks all Institute officials for their good reception, may Allaa bless them and help them in providing all necessary services for all patients.

The Ceremony of Students Union for honoring Top Students was held on Sunday 27/10/2019 at Faculty of Dar Al Uloom, in attendance of Prof/ Farid Abdel-Zaher _Faculty dean, Dr/ Mohamed El-Sheikh _ Vice dean for Education and students and Mr/ Ahmed Abo El-Majd _ Faculty Secretary, the faculty hosted Prof/ Ahmed Mohamed Abdel-Dayem_ Professor of Grammar and Prosody_ Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom _Cairo University, and Lieutenant- Colonel/ Mohamed Kamal_ Official of Military Education_ and a group of Academic staff and students.

The ceremony included several presentations starts from recitation of Holy Quran then the speech of Faculty dean, vice dean for Education and students and ceremony guests and after that there was many artworks as: “Spoken word poetry – Individual singing – theatrical performances- Nubian singing “, wishing for them all the best.

Faculty of Dar Al Uloom participated in the workshop of the Egyptian Knowledge Bank which was held at Faculty of Engineering – Aswan University- on Sunday and Monday 20-21 / 10/2019 and attended by a representative of the faculty, Dr/Abdallaa Ahmed Hammam as a director of Faculty Library.

And that at Movenpick Hotel on 23^rd-25^th October 2019, the lecturer will be more ten international experts in addition to three panel Discussion and 96 scientific articles.

Aswan University will organize next week the first African Universities Youth Week from 20 to 25 October, with participation of 21 African universities and 23 Egyptian universities in addition to the Arab Academy for Science and Technology. The opening ceremony will be open in Aswan Stadium, it will include lyrics Prof. Ahmed Ghallab_ Aswan University President, said that the organization of Aswan University for African Universities Youth Week comes in line with the announcement of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi – President of the Republic – that Aswan is the capital of African youth. It is to promote and strengthen the partnership and cooperation between African universities and the promotion of cultural dialogue between the students of the continent, as the university president added that the event of the week African universities include many sports, artistic and cultural activities in order to achieve integration between the institutions of higher education in Egypt and Africa.

Managing Director of Military Education announces holding the Special Military Education Course No.1 which will be held from 26/10/2019 to 2/11/2019 and that according to Military Education courses plan for the academic year 2019/2020.

Opening registration to get the scholarship of UNESCO/ Japan fellowship program (UNESCO/ Japan Young Researchers’ fellowship program) funded under Japan Government to impact on Capacity- Building of raise researchers’ capabilities of Member states, the scholarships focus on the research activities in postgraduate studies (after master degree) in the following areas:    

• Environment (with particular attention on disaster risk reduction).
• Intercultural dialogue.
• Information and communication technologies.
• Peaceful conflict resolution.

The Deadline will be on Thursday 31st Oct. 2019 at 1:00 pm. in the headquarters of National Committee. 

Aswan University organized a visit to the Military Air Base and that in frame of armed Forces keenness for raising awareness level and the sense of belonging among students.

Aswan University President Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab and the manager of Military Education department the Lieutenant Colonel/ Mohamed Kamal El-Din Amin and a group of students and youth welfare officials and they were received by the leader of the Airbase.

The visit started with a documentary on Air forces and for his part Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab expressed his appreciation to Egyptian Air Forces and Egyptian Armed Forces in general, asking for repeating the visit for students to know more about the national role of Armed Forces.           

The visit concluded with that Aswan University President offered the University Shield to Air Base Leadership.

Aswan University president Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab met with a delegation from Excellence Center of USAID to explore avenues of scientific collaboration between the two sides during the coming period. In attendance of Dr/ Yasser El-Shaieb _ Project manager in the American University, Dr/ Essam Mohamed _ Project scientific coordinator, Prof/ Ayman Othman_ Vice president of Aswan University for Graduate studies and research in Aswan University, Prof/ Hazem El-Gamal_ International relationship in university, Dr. Hani Madkour _ project Coordinator at Aswan University.

Prof/ Ghallab pointed out that the potential of Aswan University in water science field and its previous experiences in this field and the activities which will be implemented in the university in cooperation with Excellence project of Water.

The visitation of the delegation will last three days and include many meetings with the deans of Faculties of Agriculture, Science, Engineering and fisheries technology Academic staff specialized in water field in addition to holding meeting with industries leaders that are relevant to water field in Faculty of Engineering.

The Excellence Center is funded by USAID through alliance from the American Universities (Washington – California (Santa Cruz) – Utah – Temple) and Egyptian universities (Ain Shams – Alexandria – Aswan – Beni Suef – Zagazig)
