Prof. Ahmed Ghallab _ Aswan University President _ signed a Cooperation protocol with Prof. Mohamed Khairy –president of the Egyptian E-learning University for granting the degrees of bachelor, diploma, Master, and Ph.D. in the different available academic specializations in both of universities.
Prof. Ayman Othman- Vice President for Postgraduate studies and Research witnessed the signing of the Protocol.
Ghallab confirmed that the protocol aims to provide education chances by granting the joint scientific degrees by integrated e-learning in different scientific specializations on level of undergraduate or postgraduate degree and this for publishing the skills of self-education among the students by the way of enabling the search and knowledge.
He explained that the cooperation protocol includes a lot of partnership fields as teaching the courses for both students of undergraduate and postgraduate, the participated supervision of the scientific theses of the students of masters and PhD, presenting Continuing education programs and professional development programs in all fields, developing, producing and providing the courses electronically by different web platforms moreover the scientific publishing paper and electronically.
He pointed out to the implementation of the participated cooperation items between the two universities after the singing of protocol where the participated programs will be entitled integrated e-learning programs by three sides which are the current programs that are presented by Egyptian University for E-learning, the current programs of Aswan University, moreover preparing the internal regulation of the study, the characterization of the educational courses and their accreditation from the Supreme Council of Universities about any new programs that are approved by the two universities.

A delegation from Aswan University headed by Prof. Ahmed Gallab Mohammed –Aswan University President congratulates the Coptic brothers in the various Orthodox, Catholic and Evangelical Churches on the occasion of the glorious Resurrection Day. 
Ghallab confirmed that the participation in the celebration of Resurrection Day is a significant sign for the strong relationships and connections among Egyptian People.
He expressed his sincere congratulation for Christians for this day which is considered a festivity for all Egyptian sects.

The Directorate of Finance honored Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed-Aswan University President_ as appreciation for his efforts and active participation in all activities and events that are organized by the directorate, as a special side event to the opening of Major General. Ahmed Ibrahim_ Aswan Governor_ for development and beautification works and raising the efficiency that is witnessed by the building of Directorate of finance with a total cost 3 million pounds, in attendance of Major General. Saied Hijazi –deputy Governor, Mr. Emad Awad- Head of Accounts and Financial Departments in Ministry, Mr. Gamal Abd-Allah_ manager of Directorate of Finance in Ministry, Mr. Gamal Abd-allah – Director of Financial Directorate in Aswan and a group of the supervisors of the ministry in the government.
Ghallab confirmed that the university is keen on participation in all conferences and seminars that are organized by Directorate of Finance, and also the participation in the workshop that is organized by Directorate of Finance recently for awareness with modern concepts for the law of organizing contracts by authorities moreover the participation in the workshop that is organized by the Supreme Committee of Mechanism in Ministry of Finance in cooperation with Directorate of Finance in Aswan for awareness the points of electronic sales (P.O.S), he also confirmed the big role of Directorate of Finance in Aswan for qualifying and training the different cadres for developing and advancing the work easily.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab –Aswan University President congratulated Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mehalal-Vice Dean for Graduate Studies & Research in Faculty of Engineering for his winning State Award for Excellence in Engineering Sciences.

Ghallab confirmed that the win of one of the professors of the university with this high award is considered great pride for all university staff, also it is considered the culmination of scientific and research efforts that are made in all fields at Aswan University.

Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mehlal expressed his great happiness after winning this award, which confirms that the State seeks to encourage its people in all fields of science and knowledge,explaining that he received this award for a group of research in the specialization of electronics, power , new and renewable energy.

The Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, announced yesterday the names of the winners of the Nile and Appreciation State Excellence Awards during holding the session No. of the Council of Scientific Research Academy.

Aswan University Council headed by Prof. Ahmed Ghallab honored Eng. Ayman Rajab Ahmed Hamdallah–Assistant lecturer at civil engineering department in Faculty of Engineering ,Aswan University_ for his winning the second place in the international competition that was announced by Nasa Agency recently about” Recycling Waste in Zero-Gravity Environment” during holding Aswan University council headed by Prof. Ahmed Ghallab in attendance of vice-presidents and his consultants Faculty deans and the rest of council members.
The council members listened to an explanation of the progression committee of Aswan University ranking headed by: Prof. Mohammed Abd-El Aziz Mehalal-Vice-Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research, which was about  the efforts of committee that leaded to that Aswan University was ranked to be among 100 best University worldwide according to times ranking where achieving the goals of sustainable development.
Aswan University Council approved establishing Veterinary Consultancy &Services Center for providing treatment, consulting services and training courses to veterinarians in Aswan University.

The council approved granting the university awards of appreciation, encouragement and the scientific publishing for researchers and academic staff in the university, the council also approved assigning a number of academic staff.
 Aswan University Council displayed the ministerial decision about amendments of interior regulation for the postgraduate stage in Faculty of Law and adding the diploma of striving corruption that is granted by the faculty, the council also displayed the letter received from the Ambassador of the Egyptian Agency for Partnership for the development of Ministry of Foreign affairs which presented thanks and appreciation for Aswan University President and members of medical convoy that is directed to Djibouti during the period from 23-28 of last March.

Prof. Ahmed Ghalab Mohamed_ President of Aswan University, confirmed that the number of researchers enrolled in postgraduate studies (Master – PHD) in Aswan University has increased significantly in the recent period, in addition to the presence of 400 researchers from the Arab countries in the postgraduate level in university faculties, and that leads to the rise of Aswan  University ranking as the world’s top 300 university in terms of sustainable development according to the British Times where we achieved recently to the best 300 universities on the level of the world in the sustainable development according to the british times ranking. And that During the opening of Prof.Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed –Aswan University President of the events of young researchers’ conference for encouraging the scientific research and promoting the ranking of the university globally, andit will continue for three days in attendance of Prof.Ayman Othman –Vice President for Graduate Studies and Researches Affairs, Prof .Hanan Abdel- Moneim Awad –Vice President for Education and Students Affairs,Prof. Abdel- Rahman Abdul Basset- Acting Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Mohamed Abdel- Aziz Orabi-Vice President of the Conference.
Ghallab added the conference discusses 55 different types of research in the different Sciences of (Health – Medical – Humanities – Social – Information Technology), these researches will be estimated and the best 3 of them will be awarded financial prizes.
Prof. Ayman Othman confirmed that the conference is considering a great chance for researcheres to present their different researches, present them to the community and communicate with businessmen to benefit from these researches into reality.
He confirmed that Egyptian Young Researchers have a lot of capacity and capability and with a little of interest and support they can raise the name of Egypt to be among advanced countries technologically; Prof. Mohamed Abdel- Aziz Orabi pointed to the opening of the fifth conference for the students of Faculty of Engineering in Upper Egypt entitled” Upper Egypt at the Scene” in conjunction with the opening of young researches’ conference with the participation of 500 students ,this conference includes two competitions of the construction of bridges and robots, moreover the opening of engineering exhibition on the margin of this conference which includes a lot of thoughts and new engineering projects.

Aswan University launches the first electronic Journal Entitled  (University voice Journal) through the General Administration of General Relationship and media as a first edition of April 2019 under supervision of Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab _ Chairman of the Board and  Aswan University president.

Aswan University are organizing a conference on Student Initiatives for Sustainable Development (2030) on Saturday, 20/4/2019. The conference will be held for two days under the patronage of Dr/ Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar_ Minister of Higher Education, Dr/ Hala Al-Saeed_ Minister of Planning and Dr/ Yasmin Fouad – Minister of Environment.

Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab_ President of Aswan University, declared that the conference aims to highlight the role of youth in achieving sustainable development goals and enable them to play their role as well as adopting student initiatives and activities that contribute to creativity and innovation culture and support initiatives to develop all infrastructure sectors

He added that this conference also aims to emphasize the role of universities and civil society in enhancing governmental efforts to achieve the goals of sustainable development, and the interest of youth projects to promote the concept of sustainable development.

On the other hand, Prof/ Hanan Abdel Moneim Awad_ Vice President of Aswan University for Education and Students Affairs and the President of the Conference, added that there are four main themes that will be addressed by the conference: “The Role of Roads, Transport and Communication in Achieving Sustainable Development – The Role of Sport as an Effective Tool for Promoting Development Goals_ the role of industry in achieving economic sustainability, raising growth and providing jobs – and the role of media as a essential partner in raising awareness of sustainable development goals.

She explained that the conference will include a group of distinguished interlocutors, including Dr/ Hussein Abaza, Advisor of the Minister of Planning, Dr/ Taya Abdel- Latif_ Advisor of the Minister of Higher Education for Student Activities, Dr/ Sobhi Hassanein, First Vice President of the Egyptian Federation of Universities, Dr/ Gamal Ismail_Vice President of the Chemical Industries Company_ Kima_ Aswan, Dr/ Hesham Al-Gushi_ General Secretary of the Egyptian Federation of Universities, Dr/ Imad Adly_ Chairman of the Egyptian Forum for Sustainable Development, Brigadier Dr/ Maged El-Masry_at Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Dr. Mohamed Bashir – Previous Manager of the Maritime Academy branch in Aswan, Dr/ Mohamed Nada_ Lecturer at Nasser Military Academy, Dr. Sami Abdel-Aziz_ previous dean of faculty of Media, Journalist / Zain El-Abedeen, Journalist / Zeinab Mostafa Researcher / Ayman Ragab – at Aswan Faculty of Engineering, and young inventor / Abdel-Rahman Omran – student at the Arab Academy for Science and Technology.

According to the instructions of the supreme council of universities the Egypt-Japan Education Partnership (EJEP) for the academic year 2018/2019 will be implemented from 7/4/2019 to 2/4/2019.
