Art Education Department of Faculty of Specific Education at Aswan University has completed designing a large number of designs and paintings preparing for placing them in the streets and main squares in Aswan in preparation for the Arab and African Youth Forum which will be held in March.

Dr. Ahmed Ghallab_ President of Aswan University said that these paintings will be placed on the road of Aswan Airport, Sadat Road and the main squares to show Aswan city at its best, In front of its visitors during the Arab African Youth Forum in coordination with Aswan Governorate and the organizers of the forum.

Dr. Iman Wagdy, head of art education department of the faculty_ said that the paintings vary between the general views of Aswan and its beautiful nature, Nubia arts, ancient Egypt and the African arts, as well as writing phrases in the ancient Egyptian language.

A delegation from Aswan University headed by Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab _Head of Aswan University_ with Dr/ Ashraf Sobhi _Minister of Youth and sports to discuss the necessary preparations for hosting the African universities week which will be held from 19-25^th October 2019 and that in frame of the announcement of president Abdel-fattah Al-sisi that Aswan is the capital of African youth in 2019.

The delegation included Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab, Prof/Ayman Othman _Vice president for graduate studies and research _ and Prof/ Abdel-Rahman Abdel-Baset _Faculty of Physical Education dean.

Prof. Ghallab showed that the meeting included the coordination with Ministry of Youth and sports to participate in sports events which will be organized during the African universities week through preparing the youth hostel in Aswan for the accommodation of African Universities delegations in addition to the use of Aswan Stadium in holding various sporting events.

He added that the university delegation held a meeting with Dr. Sobhi Hassanain _ president of University Sports Federation to put the tournament and competition which will be held this week and also addressing the African universities sports federations to participate in the events.

Prof/ Ayman Othman referred that the championship will witness big participation of 800 students from African Universities to support communication and Rapprochement with our brothers in the continent.

Rheumatology and Physiotherapy department in faculty of medicine _ Aswan University_ in cooperation with the European authority for the use of ultrasound in Diagnosis of rheumatic diseases, international workshop on the use of Joints Sonar and locomotor system, this workshop will be held in conjunction with the International Day of Rheumatology and Natural Medicine.

Prof. Ahmed Ghallab _Aswan University president_ opened the workshop, in attendance of Dr. Mohamed zaki Al-Dahshoury _ acting faculty of medicine dean, Dr.Ahmed fathi _Coordinator of the conference, Dr/ Abdel-rahman El-Dahan _Vice dean of faculty of medicine for society service and environment development.  

Prof. Ghallab declared that this workshop will be held for two days in participation with three specialized foreign trainers in sound waves field from Greece and Serbia and this workshop is held for the first time in Egypt by this European authority which is specialized in this field.

He added that Aswan University is keen to hold workshops and scientific conferences periodically in order to exchange experiences and learn about the new in all medical fields, which will benefit patients.

Dr. Fatima Hussein Al-Nubi_ head of the workshop and head of Rheumatology and Physical Therapy Department in Faculty of Medicine at Aswan_ added that the number of participants in the workshop is 30 doctors from different Egyptian universities and from one of Saudi Arabia universities. The workshop include (wrest joints – elbow – shoulder – pelvis – ankle – knee) and how to deal with diseases and injuries of them.

She indicated that the workshop shed light on the importance of the use of sound waves sonar in the diagnosis of early joint disease and determine the proper treatment before the deterioration of the health situation of patients for their speed recovery.

In frame of the work on upgrading scientific research, Aswan University under the auspices of Aswan University President Prof/ Ahmed Ghallab, will host the annual scientific event of the Japanese association for developing sciences entitled “research and study in Japan” on Thursday 5/3/2019 at Faculty of Engineering _Aswan University _ Abu El-Rish. In attendance of Mr. Nawko Vokami_ Director of the Japanese Society’s Cairo Branch, and Mr. Masaya Mapuchi, Assistant Director of the Office, will also be present from the Japanese side.

On the Egyptian side, Prof. Ibrahim Tantawy_ Professor at Menoufia University and President of Japanese Alumni Association, Prof. Gad Mohamed El-Qadi_ President of the National Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics Research and a member of the Japanese Association_ and Ms. Sabreen Ali Ibrahim_ Secretary and translator of Japanese association office, Naoko will introduce the activities of the Japanese Association and the opportunities of study and research in Japan for both postgraduate students and Egyptian professors.

Aswan University organized today a workshop on Al-Farouk system for human resources management and that in coordination with communication and information technology center in Mansoura University, it was held for three days.

Aswan University President Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that the workshop aims at raising Employees efficiency in human resources management especially at (Files – entitlements) departments and increasing their ability in applying this system. (45) Trainers participated in the workshop; it included full explanation of Al-Farouk system and answering all questions.

Prof/ Amr Talaat _Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Major General/ Ahmed Ibrahim _Aswan Governorate attends the signing cooperation between Ministry of Communications and Information Technology represented in Information technology ITI for developing youth skills and qualifying them to labor market and that inside the area designed r the training complex and creativity in Aswan University.

Prof. Heba Saleh _head of Information technology Institute and Prof. Ahmed Ghallab _Aswan University President assigned the cooperation protocol.

Prof/Amr Talaat confirmed that they will establish (8) new branches of ITI in the in the governorates.

On the other side Major General. Ahmed Ibrahim declared that the Governorate will allocate 5 thousand meters to establish ITI branch at Aswan.

Aswan University council in its session No. 67 approved on modifying Aswan University awards regulation, it is decided to grant University awards of 2018

“Appreciation – Excellence – Encouragement – Scientific publication – Master and Doctorate thesis reward – Patent reward” in all awards fields according to the terms of Aswan University regulation.

Faculty of Dar Al-Uloom participated in students’ initiative (Families administration and student union) in a workshop on the societal participation for the academic year 2018/2019 at Aswan University headquarters in Sahary.

In frame of instructions of President of Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, Aswan University received the evaluation committee of selecting the best Egyptian university and that according to the determined criteria for that. Aswan University president Prof. Ahmed Ghallab declared that the committee inspected the University headquarter in Aswan Al-Gadida, considering it as educational place witnessed great renaissance and continued follow up from the Minister of higher education Prof/ Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar.

 Prof. Ghallab added that the committee inspected the innovation exhibition of university students and that in attendance of Prof. Ahmed Sayed Khalil _Vice president of society service and environment_ and faculties deans.

Ghallab assured that Aswan University witnessed development in scientific, research and educational fields as development of laboratories, amphitheaters, educational classes, and the new buildings in addition to its Societal and developing role and Urbanization at Aswan University.
