Youth Welfare

      “The entity responsible for the aspect related to student activities and youth welfare, aiming to achieve comprehensive youth welfare through engaging them in various activities.”

       In light of the state’s keenness to focus on youth in order to create a qualified generation capable of assuming responsibility and carrying the nation’s flag in the coming phase, and in confirmation of the role of student activities in community development, I congratulate you on the start of the new academic year. Wishing progress and participation in student activities and community development to create a generation capable of competition and innovation.”

        Emphasizing on the distinction of Students activity for Aswan University, our continued concern on Student Service, the General Administration for Central Students welfare extend its sincere thanks and appreciation to all the sponsorship of University students Activity and Students union, and also every one contributes in presenting productive activities for students,  Headed by Prof. Ahmed Ghallab Mohamed (University President) and finally Aswan University students University, we promise you to continue to make the effort to maintain distinction in all student programs.

General Administration Activities of Student Welfare

Sports activities:

It aims to develop and refine sports skills, holding competitions in team and individual games among Faculty students, and selecting university teams to participate in sports tournaments at the level of Egyptian, Arab and African universities.

Cultural activity:

It includes poetry, zajal, short story, article and wall magazine, as well as literary research competitions, the periodical cultural event, major religious competitions in memorizing the Holy Qur’an, the Noble Prophetic hadiths, Islamic culture, student journalism competitions and Arabic calligraphy.

Scouts and public service activities:

It is based on implementation of scouting programs inside the university through the scouting stage, which aims to develop the capabilities of Youth through implementing some competitions and scouting arts, in addition to other fields of activities that are practiced in the outdoors at the university level and Egyptian, Arab and African universities.

 Activities of Groups and student unions:

All activities are carried out through student Groups in Faculties. The Group consists of no less than 50 students who work through the spirit of cooperation between them to practice the aspects of student activity between student unions, which come through elections. The Student Union Council is formed at the faculty level and the University Student Union Council Representatives of the students to express their opinions and desires.

 Social activity :

It aims to increase community and development information and develop the spirit of loyalty and belonging to the homeland through trips, ideal student competitions, chess competitions, social research and celebrations of various occasions.

 Art activity:

It aims to raise the artistic sense of the students by participating in choir groups, theatre arts, plastic arts and exhibitions of all kinds. The best elements are chosen to form teams for active participation.

Scientific and technological activity:

It is practiced in science clubs at the university and works on developing and refining scientific talents and the ability to innovate through productive activities and scientific research competitions.

Services and Registration

First: Financial and in-kind assistance from the Social Solidarity Fund:

The Social Solidarity Fund for faculty Students aims to achieve social Solidarity for students through various forms of insurance and social welfare and working on solving the problems facing students.

 How to obtain financial or in-kind assistance:

  • Submitting a request in the name FAculty Dean to get a special form from Youth Welfare Office at the Faculty, to be filled out by the student and sealed with Faculty seal (Student Affairs Office).
  • The requests are presented to the fund’s board of directors to approve the amounts owed for each group, and the amount is determined according to the family’s financial situation.
  • Subsidies are disbursed from the faculty treasury.

Second: How to register yourself in the activity that suits you:

Go to Faculty Youth Welfare Office on the second floor and contact with the competent employee, whether social worker or sports specialist.

Activities in the office:

  • Sports activity 
  • Art activity.
  • cultural activity.
  • Social activity and Trips.
  • Scouts activity and public service.
  • Student Group activity.
  • Scientific and technological activity

Go to Youth welfare:

  • If you are experiencing difficult social or financial circumstances and want someone to help you overcome your crises.
  • If you have a problem that stands between you and yourself or between you and your community and you want to reconcile with yourself and your community.
  • We are waiting for all of you to achieve together a higher purpose and it’s Just for you, do not hesitate to knock on the door.
Students Groups

Terms for forming students Groups:

  • The Group members must be from all Faculties Batches.
  • The Group should not be based on sectarianism.
  • The number of Group members should not be less than 30 and not more than 50 male and female students.
  • The Group name should be in Arabic and its meaning is understandable.
  • The Group names should not be repeated or similar to another Group.
  • The Group should be composed of male and female students.
  • It should not be affiliated with a party (political entity).

In case of derogation from family laws, the following will be applied:

  • Warning.
  • Transferring to investigation to the representatives of the Groups committee.
  • Substitution of the Group.

For those who want to form a Group should send the following:

  • Biography of the head of the Group and its deputy.
  • Group name and motto (if any).
  • The Group vision and goals.
  • Group plan for the academic year.
